The Malabar coast on the Arabian Sea, and the forested Western ghats that run parallel to the shore some distance inland, have all the ingredients that combine leisure in the warm, balmy weather with the cultural and natural heritage of this exotic part of south India. From the sun-drenched beaches of Goa and Kovalam to the quiet backwaters of Cochin and the prolific Periyar wildlife sanctuary, this is the ultimate experience for those who wish to get away from the madding crowd.

Day 1 :
Arrive Calicut International Airport and transfer to hotel.

Day 2 : Calicut (Kozhikode)
Calicut lays claim to an ancient and glorious past. Ruled in turn by the Zamorins, the Dutch, the French and the British. Today, Calicut is famed for, amongst other things, its timber, mouthwatering cuisine, historic temples, churches and mosques.

Full day sightseeing of Kadalundi, where thousands of migratory birds come to boost, Beypore Port, Mother of God Cathedral, CSI Church, Tali Temple, Jain Temple, Parsee Temple, Pazhassi Raja Museum, Art Gallery & Museum etc. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 : Vythiri Tree Houses - Wyanad Hills
Early morning drive to Wynad.

Day 4 : Wyanad - Cochin
Afternoon drive to Cochin. Overnight at hotel in Cochin.

Day 5 : Cochin
Morning city tour visiting the Jewish Synagogue built in 1565 and the Dutch palace in Cochin. In the afternoon a motor launch cruise on the backwaters of Cochin visiting Bolghatty Palace and the Chinese fishing nets.

Day 6 : Cochin - Alleppey
Morning free. Afternoon drive to Alleppey.

Day 7 : Alleppey - Periyar
Morning backwater cruise to Changanacherry and drive on to Periyar wildlife sanctuary, noted for elephant and water birds. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 8 : Periyar
The wildlife park is situated in the western Ghats. Visitors can experience exciting glimpse of herds of wild deer, elephants, boar and gaur in their natural habitat. Morning and afternoon wildlife safari including boat ride inside the park.

Day 9 : Periyar - Kovalam
After breakfast drive to Kovalam beach, near Trivandrum.

Day 10 : Kovalam
Relax on the palm fringed beaches. During your stay here you will visit Cape Comorin, India's lands end. Ocean meet here.

Day 11 : Kovalam
Transfer to the airport for onward journey.
